THE 90 DAY CONCEPT
Get clear on your direction
Turn your long-term vision into clear priorities for the next three months.
Fill it in. Ideally print on A3.
This concept helps you decide what deserves your time and why. It brings together work, health, relationships and finances. By the end, you should have a few clear priorities and your first steps in the calendar.
Before you start
Set aside 45 to 60 minutes.
- Print the two-page worksheet, ideally on A3 paper, or use a PDF text tool to write on it.
- Enter your name and start date, then add the end date of your cycle.
Get clear on your direction
Vision, time horizons and five areas of life.
Put your direction into daily practice
Concrete steps, care for your relationships and regular reviews.
Work from your vision to your next goal
Worksheet / page 1 / Vision and time horizons
Start by asking: How do I want to live? What do I want to make time for? Why does it matter to me? In the vision section, describe your idea of a good life. Then write what you want to have achieved in 5 years, 3 years, 1 year and 90 days. Shorter-term goals should support the longer-term ones.
5 years
The long-term picture
→3 years
A clearer direction
→1 year
A visible shift
→90 days
Your next goal
For example
You want more room for family life. Your one-year goal might be to keep weekends regularly free; over the next 90 days, start by setting aside time together.
You can refine your longer-term goals as you go.
Look at all five areas of your life
Worksheet / page 1 / Five pillars of well-being
Write down what each area needs. Then choose 1 to 3 priorities for this cycle. In the other areas, maintaining what already works may be enough.
Five areas do not mean five major changes at once.
Mind
What do I want to learn, and how can I manage my attention?
Body
What do I need for my health, fitness and everyday energy?
Society
Who do I want to connect with, and how can I contribute?
Family
Which loved ones do I want to give more time and attention to?
Finances
How can I manage money better and build financial stability?
Choose 1–3 priorities
Define the outcome and your reason
Under 90-Day Goals, write what you will achieve, by when, and how you will know. Under Feeling of Success on page 2, describe what it will mean to you personally.
A specific outcome
Helps you recognise progress.
Feeling of success
Explains your reason.
Example
Over 90 days, we will spend 12 evenings together without our phones.
I want to feel that we make time for each other and are growing closer.
Put your direction into daily practice
Once you have filled it in, put your first steps in the calendar. For each priority, write what you will do this week and when. For a shared goal, first agree on it with the people involved.
Set financial targets and track actual results
Worksheet / page 2 / Financial goals
Enter your target amounts in the 90-Day Goal column. Fill in Results with the actual figures. Use the same currency throughout this cycle.
Income
The money you receive over the full 90 days.
Net income / surplus
The amount left after subtracting all expenses from income over the same period.
Asset growth
The change in the value of the assets you track between the start and the end. Record the starting value and what you include.
Example
Income
CZK 120,000
Expenses
CZK 100,000
Surplus
CZK 20,000
Do not add income and surplus together.
Give your relationships practical attention
Worksheet / page 2 / 12 important relationships
Across the two blocks, list 12 important relationships: loved ones, colleagues and people you learn from. Note why each matters and how and when you will nurture it. Consider their needs too.
12 relationships for the 90-day goal
12 relationships for the long-term goal
Example
Colleague — learning to lead a team together — discuss a real work situation on Friday.
Start with key relationships and add more over time.
Regularly review what is working
Take 10 minutes each week
What did I do?
What is holding me back?
What will I do next week, and when?
If a step did not work out, adjust its size, timing or the support you need.
30 days
Review your direction and capacity.
60 days
Direction and capacity again.
90 days
Compare goals with results, recognise progress and choose your next priorities.
Keep the original plan for comparison.
